I love walking through life with my clients whether it’s their first job, college, or career, planning for retirement, and seeing them live out their golden years.  I spent my early career working as a paralegal and eventually transitioned to working for a local CPA firm. It was there that I noticed many clients weren't aware of the tax implications of their investments, leading me to become passionate about incorporating tax planning into financial planning services which, in turn, inspired me to open my own firm to be able to provide support to my clients in all facets of their financial life.

It is my professional priority to build long-term relationships with my clients based on trust, care, and integrity. My " job" is so rewarding that it never feels like work.

When I'm not working, you can find me spending time with my two beautiful granddaughters, cruising with my husband, or curling up with a hot cup of tea and a good book. I'm proud to call the Stanwood Camano community my home and I have been exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband for over 39 years. We've had some fun adventures, including owning a gold claim in the mountains for a while and spending weekends and summers with the family digging for gold!

I'm thrilled to be a part of the SLM Financial Services team. My journey here began when I worked with Shelly Mathis at a local CPA firm. Her work ethic and how much she cared about her clients impressed me, which inspired me to join her at her firm.

I'm outgoing and love connecting with clients.  What I love most about my job is getting to know our clients and listening to their life stories. My favorite part of my day is troubleshooting and research, and I'm always eager to find the best solutions to help our clients live their best financial life.

I was born in Fayetteville, NC, where my father was based at Fort Bragg. I grew up in Southern California but, as an adult, I have also lived in Utah and Washington. I moved back and forth between California and Washington several times while caring for my family. Still, my partner and I decided to move back to Washington in 2019 to be closer to my children and grandchildren.

Outside of work, I've had a variety of interests and pursuits, including being a Wilton Method Instructor (cake decorating), owning an alternative children's clothing line, and currently painting furniture, upcycling home décor, and owning a local business selling craft supplies. These experiences have taught me to be creative and resourceful, skills that I bring to my work.
